MYEG PHILIPPINES, LANDBANK GOVERNMENT SERVICES PARTNERSHIP HITS 300 MERCHANTS

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 -- MY E.G. Services Bhd (MYEG) today said that its joint-venture (JV) in the Philippines, I-Pay MYEG Philippines Inc. (MYEG Philippines), has reached a key milestone of 300 merchants onboard its online service partnership with Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank), just eight months since the collaboration commenced.

Launched in November 2019, the partnership entails the integration of MYEG Philippines’s Electronic Payment and Collection System with Landbank’s Link.Biz facility, thus providing Filipinos the convenience of being able to transact online with national government agencies, local government units and private enterprises, and pay via their preferred methods, including physically at more than 40,000 over-the-counter locations under MYEG Philippines’s network.

"As the official depository bank of the Philippines and a fully government-owned entity, Landbank has around 700 enrolled merchants on its Link.Biz facility. 

"Having started with an initial 20 payee agencies and merchants during the launch, MYEG Philippines has since accelerated the integration and onboarding of additional merchants, bringing the total to around 300 currently, comprising a range of government agencies, local government units, utilities, and educational, as well as other government and private institutions," it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

With more agencies due to go onboard progressively, MYEG Philippines remains on track to complete the integration and onboarding of all Landbank’s 700 enrolled merchants within the next 12 months, it added.
