KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 -- Maybank Islamic’s deposit account and investment campaign “Win a Honda Jazz and Honda City” recently has exceeded its initial target of RM1 billion by registering RM1.47 billion in new deposits.
In a statement today, the banking group said the increase was achieved through the campaign which was held for six months from August 2019 till January 31, 2020 which offered two new Honda cars to its customers.
Maybank Islamic is a pioneer in Islamic banking in the ASEAN region and the biggest commercial bank in the country with a market share of 31.1 per cent of Islamic financing and deposits market while holding 27.8 per cent market share of investment accounts as at December 31, 2019.
In the same period, its assets had increased by 9 per cent to RM245.1 billion.
