KERJAYA PROSPEK'S NET PROFIT, REVENUE FALLS IN Q1 2020
KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 -- Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd’s net profit fell to RM22.33 million in the first quarter ended March 31, 2020 (Q1 2020), from RM35.12 million in the same period a year earlier.
Revenue for the quarter eased to RM211.84 million from RM264.18 million, mainly due to the suspension of the group's operations following the movement control order (MCO).
“The affected segments are construction and manufacturing. On the property development segment, the Vista Residence project in Genting Permai was completed in 2019 and there was no project under development during the financial quarter under review.
“Therefore, the property development segment had minimum contribution to the group's results,” said Kerjaya Prospek in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
Moving forward, the group said it would focus on the construction segment as its main revenue driver.
