LYC HEALTHCARE TO MARKET BIOFRESH'S HYGIENE AND DISINFECTION SERVICES

KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 -- LYC Medicare Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of LYC Healthcare Bhd (LYC), today entered into a hygiene and disinfection services collaboration agreement with Biofresh Hygiene Services Sdn Bhd.

In a filling with Bursa Malaysia, LYC said based on the agreement, LYC Medicare would market a range of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation services on behalf of Biofresh.

The range of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation services include manual and automatic hand sanitiser dispensers, hand soap dispenser, toilet seat sanitiser, lady bin as well as disinfection service.

"Biofresh addresses the need for thorough hygiene management in building facilities such as hotels, apartments, restaurants, hospitals and offices for a virus-free and safe space -- especially in the wake of highly contagious pandemics," it said.

LYC said services offered included disinfection service using ultra-low volume (ULV) misting on entire space of the targeted area. A rapid anti-microbial prevention is achieved within three minutes and with up to 99.99 per cent kill rate. 

The solution used is approved by United States Environmental Protection Agency (US-EPA) and United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for application in healthcare and public health.

"The active ingredient is tested and proven effective against coronaviruses, while also being environmentally friendly as it leaves behind non-hazardous residues and is 100 per cent biodegradable,”LYC said.

In addition, Biofresh is also looking to venture into Internet of things technology in its washroom hygiene service segment to conform with the new norm of social distancing.
