ROHAS TECNIC BAGS RM102 MLN CONTRACT FROM BANGLADESHI STATE-RUN COMPANY

KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 -- Rohas Tecnic Bhd, through 75 per cent-owned subsidiary HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (HGPT), has bagged another power transmission contract from state-run Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd worth RM102 million.

Rohas Tecnic said the two-year contract, expected to begin in the third quarter of this year, was to design, supply, install, test and commission 400 kilowatt (KV) and 132 KV transmission lines on a turnkey basis.

“The contract will have a positive impact on the company’s results for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020, and in the future,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

On Feb 18 this year, HGPT accepted two contracts from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh totalling about RM192 million for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of transmission lines on a turnkey basis. These jobs are also expected to begin in the second half of this year.
