COVID-19: CORVAN LAUNCHES CHARITY AWARENESS DRIVE FOR FRONTLINERS

24/04/2020 12:27 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 -- Local home appliances company Corvan has launched a Charity Awareness Drive (CAD) to encourage donations for frontliners in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its co-founder and executive director Kevin Lee said CAD’s donation campaign from April 18 to May 10 is to encourage people to donate directly to the funds set up by Mercy Malaysia, Malaysian Red Crescent Society and World Vision Malaysia.

Lee told Bernama that Corvan is providing popular home appliances worth more than RM10,000 as lucky draw prizes for the campaign.

“Like most Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Corvan is badly affected by the pandemic but that should not stop us from doing something to contribute to the fight against COVID-19,” he said, adding that CAD hoped to help raise RM500,000 for the three funds.

Donors should give a minimum of RM10 directly to the selected list of funds and send a snapshot of the receipt or payment confirmation by Whatsapp (011-26626636) or email to cad@corvan.com.my to be eliglible for the lucky draw.
