DNEX UNIT TARGETS 50 GOVT AGENCIES TO USE MYSAGA

KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 (Bernama) -- Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd (iAC) is targeting at least 50 government agencies including local councils to utilise its cloud-based accounting system, developed based on the Standard Accounting System for Government Agencies (MySAGA), by year-end. 

MySAGA was jointly developed between iAC, a subsidiary of Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX), and UPSI Holdings Sdn Bhd. 

iAC chief executive officer Nuraslina Zainal Abidin said MySAGA offers end-to-end financial management features and uses a single data-entry concept enabling each transaction performed to cover all related accounts.

"It has a user-friendly interface allowing ease of use for accounting and audit users who are also able to generate reports accurately and fast. 

"Moreover, the system can also be integrated with other application systems hence reducing data discrepancy issues," she told reporters after the launch of MySAGA here today.

iAC is the contractor and information and communications technology maintenance provider of the integrated government financial and management accounting system at the Accountant General's Department Malaysia.

Going forward, Nuraslina said iAC plans to expand the use of MySAGA to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), especially in the services sector in Malaysia, in the first quarter of 2020.

"We believe MySAGA will contribute in the efforts towards enriching the country’s digital economy with a homegrown accounting system leveraging on local talents.

"There is also a plan to expand the system to Indonesian government agencies as well as the country’s SMEs," she said.
