INSKEN TO FOCUS ON ENHANCING ENTREPRENEURS' COMPETITIVENESS

23/10/2018 02:34 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- The National Institute of Entrepreneurship (Insken) will focus on enhancing the competitiveness of the country’s entrepreneurs besides producing new ones.

Chief Executive Officer Muhd Firdaus Azharuddin said the focus will be on helping existing entrepreneurs to export their products or services.

"We want to make our entrepreneurs bold enough to go global and to be export-ready,” he told reporters after officiating the soft launch of the Global Marketing Summit (GMS) here today.

He said many traditional businesses now face difficulty in trying to continue to operate while e-businesses have a problem in taking root.

In the “New Malaysia” era, businesses should reformulate their strategies in order to remain relevant in an increasingly challenging market, he said.

He said the summit is aimed at exposing local entrepreneurs to how multinational companies make their sales.

Insken, established in 2005, is responsible for implementing entrepreneurship training and guidance programmes aimed at strengthening the knowledge and expertise of existing and future entrepreneurs.
