Kim Kim River chemical pollution victims: 35 people

JOHOR BAHRU, March 7 (Bernama) -- The number of victims following the dumping of chemical waste in the Kim Kim River, near Pasir Gudang stands at 35 people as of 5 pm today.

Health Department director Dr Selahuddeen Abdul Aziz said, of the total, 26 people had been referred to the Sultan Ismail Hospital while the rest were treated as out-patients and allowed to go home.....

Pollution: Education Department continues to monitor schools


JOHOR BAHRU, March 7 (Bernama) -- The State Education Department will continue to closely monitor the situation at the two affected schools and other schools near to the location of the dumping of the chemical waste in the Kim Kim River.

Two schools closed, 35 treated due to chemical gas pollution


JOHOR BAHRU, March 7 (Bernama) -- Two schools were closed while 35 people, mostly students, were treated at the Sultan Ismail Hospital after sniffing chemical gas resulting from the dumping of chemical waste into the Kim Kim River near Pasir Gudang, early this morning.
