Maal Hijrah personality advises civil servants to apply principles of justice

MELAKA, Sept 5 -- Public officials, especially law enforcement personnel and state leaders, must apply the principles of justice in carrying out their duties and responsibilities to the country and the people, said Melaka 2019 Maal Hijrah Personality Tan Sri Abu Talib Othman.

Abu Talib, 81, also a former Attorney-General, said the principle is important to avoid issues that can affect individuals, the country or the people from feeling betrayed.....

Alarming increase in dengue cases in Johor


JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 3 -- The number of dengue cases in Johor has increased at an alarming rate with 7,761 cases recorded from Jan 1 to Aug 31 this year, a rise of 101.2 per cent compared with 3,857 cases in the same period last year, said Johor Health, Culture and Heritage Committee chairman Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar.

JASIN, Sept 3 -- The Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination will go on as scheduled at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Paya Redan tomorrow, as the all-clear has been given by the authorities following the ammonia gas leak earlier today at a nearby chicken processing farm.
