Teacher among five detained over cloned car cases

KUALA KANGSAR, July 15 (Bernama) -- A male teacher, believed to be the mastermind in selling cloned cars, was among five individuals detained by the police in separate operations carried out here from July 5 to 12.

Kuala Kangsar district police chief ACP Razali Ibrahim said the man was arrested in a raid carried out by a team of traffic policemen together with personnel from the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, at Taman Seri Pelangi near here at 10.30 am on Thursday.....

Melaka collects more than RM4.46 million in zakat fitrah this year


MELAKA, July 15 (Bernama) -- Melaka has recorded more than RM4.46 million in zakat fitrah (personal zakat) collection this year, an increase of 13.5 per cent compared to RM3.92 million collected last year, the Melaka State Legislative Assembly was told today.
