More students experience breathing problems from effects of chemicals dumped into river

JOHOR BAHRU, March 12 (Bernama) – Parents of SMK and SK Tanjung Puteri Resort students gathered at a community hall in Pasir Gudang here, anxious to know the condition of their children who are suffering the same symptoms as students in two other schools.

The students were said to suffer shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting, after inhaling methane fumes from chemicals that were dumped into Sungai Kim Kim.....

Second wave of chemical pollution pushes number of victims to 207 tonight


JOHOR BAHRU, March 11 (Bernama) -- The number of victims in the dumping of toxic waste into Sungai Kim Kim last Thursday has risen dramatically to 207 people as at 11pm tonight following a second wave of attack which took place at noon today.

JOHOR BAHRU, March 11 (Bernama) -- Sixty-one people, 57 of whom are students, were admitted to the emergency unit of the Sultan Ismail Hospital today after experiencing breathing difficulty, nausea and vomiting at two Pasir Gudang schools that were ordered to close again today after reopening since their closure last Thursday over a similar problem.
