MOA to make seaweed major agriculture product in Semporna

SEMPORNA, Sept  15  -- The sea condition in Semporna, which is very ideal for seaweed farming has prompted the  Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Ministry (MOA) to make seaweed a major agricultural product in the district.

The ministry’s secretary-general, Datuk Mohd Sallehhuddin Hassan said seaweed planting project had been carried out in Semporna since 2010 and the use of the produce had been diversified for many purposes, including in the making of beauty products.....
