Unimas students promote Sarawak handicraft-inspired furniture

KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 (Bernama) -- The “Tambok Stool”, which is inspired by woven bags used by the Bidayuh in Sarawak, is among creative works produced by students of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) at the Malaysian International Furniture Festival (MIFF).

Norfarhanan Norhasim, who designed the stool, said he was inspired by the tambok woven bags, a traditional equipment used by the Bidayuh native tribe of Sarawak for carrying goods.....
