Sungai Asap resettlement area has potential as food producer

KUCHING, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- The Sungai Asap Resettlement Area, near Belaga, has all the potential to be another major mass producer of food in the state, said Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

Uggah, who is also Minister of Agriculture Modernisation, Native Land and Regional Development, said the ministry was proposing to introduce modern agricultural programmes like fertigation and hydroponics for high-quality produce and better income.....
