RTD plans to impose VEP on foreign vehicles at Malaysia-Brunei border

MIRI, April 25 (Bernama) -- The Road Transport Department (RTD) proposes to impose the vehicle entry permit (VEP) requirement on all foreign vehicles at the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complexes, Malaysia-Brunei border.

The department’s director-general, Datuk Seri Shaharuddin Khalid said the proposal paper would be submitted to the Transport Minister (Anthony Loke Siew Fook) this year with the main objective of easing monitoring of foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia, especially involving the issue of traffic summonses.....

149 compounds against restaurants without waste oil traps


KENINGAU, April 25 (Bernama) -- The Keningau District Council (KDC)  has issued 149 compounds against restaurants operators from January to April 23 for failing to install waste cooking oil traps which resulted in the pollution of the drainage system.
