Slope failure: Canteen made as classes for 117 students of SMK Desa Kencana

LAHAD DATU, Jan 18 (Bernama) -- Four classes with 117 students from Form 1 to Form 4 at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Desa Kencana in Felda Sahabat near here had to have their lessons at the school canteen after one of the school block faced the threat of slope failure.

The president of the Parents and Teachers Association of the school, Datu Ibrahim Datu Abdul Karim said the particular block was vacated since the school session began earlier this year to ensure the safety of the students and their teachers.....

SANDAKAN,  Jan 18  (Bernama) -- The number of flood victims who were evacuated to the relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pamol, about  239 km from here, following heavy rain last Wednesday,  remained at 20 people, including six children, as at 8 am today.

 
 

Hostel food tender: contractor in remand for seven days


SANDAKAN,  Jan 17  (Bernama) -- A contractor is in remand for seven days from today to facilitate investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly submitting false document to obtain tenders to supply food , worth RM2.26 million, to school hostels here for the period between 2017 and 2018.
