Pan Borneo Highway: contractors to identify routes at risk of sinking

MIRI, March 7 (Bernama) -- The Works Ministry has directed contractors involved in the construction of Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak project to undertake risk assessment of routes that are under threat of sinking which will pose problems to road users.

Its Minister, Baru Bian said in addition to risk assessment, the project delivery partners (PDP) and work package contractors (WPC) were also ordered to implement mitigation plans at risky areas on the Sarawak side.....

Agong visits Sabah Women and Children's Hospital

Sarawak flood evacuees return home


KUCHING, March 7 (Bernama) -- All the 430 flood evacuees from 93 families returned to their homes today from the relief centre at Dewan Perpaduan Debak in Betong, and the centre was closed at 2 pm, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said in a statement.

 
 

Woman gets 17 years jail, RM39,000 fine for causing four deaths, injuries in drunk driving 


TAWAU, March 7 (Bernama) ---  A management executive was sentenced to 17 years in jail and fined RM39,000 by the Tawau Sessions Court today after being convicted on two charges of driving under the influence of alcohol which resulted in causing four deaths and one seriously injured in Jalan Chong Thien Vun near here in July last year.
