Auditor-General: Revised indicators needed for aquaculture projects in Sarawak

KUCHING, July 15 (Bernama) -- The 2018 Auditor-General's Report has recommended that the Sarawak Agriculture Department (JPS) revises its indicators on income targeted from two aquaculture projects in view of reduced allocations received under the 11th Malaysia Plan (2016-2020).

The projects comprise the intended establishment of 11 aquaculture industrial zones in the state (which received RM9 million compared with the RM17.03 million allocation applied for, as well as the aquaculture development project intended to benefit 1,225 participants (which only received RM4.6 million or 17 per cent of the RM27.5 million applied for).....
