Sabah MMEA foils attempt to smuggle 26 cylinders of LPG gas

TAWAU, Dec 13 -- The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (Maritime Malaysia) Tawau Zone has detained a passenger boat carrying 26 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders in a smuggling attempt at the Sungai Haji Kuning estuary, Pulau Sebatik near here last night.

Tawau Maritime Zone Director Maritime Captain Siva Kumar A/L Vengadasalam said Maritime patrol boats carrying out surveillance around the area had detected a boat heading into the river at about 9.50pm last night.....
