Sabah police going all out against drug offences

LABUAN, Feb 25 (Bernama)-- The Sabah police contingent arrested a total of 13, 914 people for various offences under the Dangerous Drugs Act  1952 and Poisons Act 1952 last year, compared to 10, 894 in 2017, an increase of 27.72 per cent.

According to  Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Omar Mammah,  the narcotics criminal investigation department seized 201.9 kilogrammes of syabu, five kilogrammes of ganja, 411.69 grammes ketamime, 351 ecstasy pills and six kilogrammes of 'daun ketum'.....

Cadet swept away by currents in rescue attempt


KANOWIT, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- A Fire and Rescue Department cadet was swept away by swift currents and feared drowned while attempting to rescue three friends in a boat in Sungai Kanowit this evening.
