Sarawak's agricultural sector poised for better outcomes through digital changes

 

KUCHING, July 8 (Bernama) -- The agriculture sector in Sarawak will experience drastic changes over the next five years with the application of Smart Farming, in line with the state’s vision in transforming its  economy and being in the forefront of the digital world.

IBM Asean Business Development Research Programme Director, Dr Sachin Gupta, said the state had great potential in the agriculture sector because the land was rich in minerals, and had good rainfall and water supply for crop growth.....

JANS absorbed 1,137 daily part-time workers


PAPAR, July 8  (Bernama) -- The Sabah Water Department (JANS) has absorbed 1,137 daily part-time workers following the state government’s decision to take over 58 water treatment plants from six plant maintenance companies last year.
