Diver nabbed after testing positive for drugs

KOTA KINABALU, May 7 (Bernama) -- A diver was nabbed by the police after testing positive for drugs in an operation conducted on three island resorts here yesterday. 

Sabah Marine Police (Region 4) Commander ACP Mohamad Pajeri Ali said acting on information, a marine police team and personnel from the District Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department conducted raids in Pulau Manukan, Pulau Sapi dan Pulau Mamutik at about 10am. 

 “A total of 46 men were checked, including divers and tourist boat  pilots  aged between 20 and 50, and from these checks, a 20-year-old diver tested positive for syabu,” he said in a statement.

He said the suspect was later brought to the Kota Kinabalu district police headquarters for further action.....
