Second longhouse destroyed in a fire this week

SONG, Kapit, Sept 29 (Bernama) – A longhouse belonging to the Iban community in Song district, which is about a 20-minute long boat ride along the Song River from the town, was destroyed in a fire this morning.

Song Fire and Rescue Station operations commander, PBK II Nasihin Anak Jaum said the 86 occupants of ‘Rumah Bada’ were rendered homeless in the fire, which was the second recorded this week in the district.....
