Media can help promote Dayak culture and tradition - Baru

BINTULU, May 18 (Bernama) -- Works Minister Baru Bian said the media could help to promote the culture and tradition of the Dayak community through good coverage of the Gawai Dayak celebrations. 

To this end, the Selangau member of parliament hoped media organisations in Sarawak would use their tools of trade such as news reporting and broadcasting to actively, creatively and innovatively narrate the essence of the Dayak culture and tradition through their respective programmes.

"With such inclusive programmes, all Malaysians, not only the Dayak community will be better enlightened on these aspects.  

"This is an important aspect of patriotism and restoring the unity cracks that we see today,” he said at a pre-Gawai 2019 celebration organised by the Bintulu Civil Societies here tonight.....

Wildlife dept, ESSCom outrun croc smugglers
