Five family members perish in early morning house fire in Tenom

TENOM, Dec 31 -- Five people perished and another was injured in an early morning  fire which destroyed a house in Kampung Menara Pamilaan near here today.

A statement issued by the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department stated that a Perodua Kancil car was also burnt in the incident.....

Pan Borneo Highway project continues under PH government

KUCHING, Dec 30 -- The mega Sarawak Pan Borneo Highway project stretching over a distance of almost 800 kilometres from Telok Melano-Sematan to Lawas, has continued to be implemented in 2019 in line with the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government’s aspiration to provide better infrastructure and connectivity similar to that of the peninsula to the people in Sarawak.

 
 

Kuching to become Borneo hub for umrah travellers


KUCHING, Dec 30 -- Sarawak planned to turn its capital, Kuching, into an alternative travelling hub for Muslims in Borneo to perform their umrah (minor haj) pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, State Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said today.
