NGO questions authorities' readiness in monitoring Penang mega projects

GEORGE TOWN, Oct 16 (Bernama) -- An NGO today questioned the readiness of the public authorities in handling upcoming mega projects in the wake of a recent worksite incident.

The Citizens Awareness Chant Group (Chant) said the worksite incident has made many Penangites wonder whether the authorities, including the Penang Island City Council (MBPP), Public Works Department (JKR) and the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), are prepared for upcoming projects under the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP) and Penang Structure Plan 2030.....
