Chow hopes for peaceful Thaipusam celebration in Penang

GEORGE TOWN, Jan 20 (Bernama) -- Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow today expressed hope that the three-day Thaipusam celebration in the state will proceed smoothly.

Chow spent about two hours visiting all the food and drink stalls set up along the route to the hilltop Murugan temple, starting from the one set up by the Hindu Endowment Board (HEB) in Jalan Macalister to the ones in Jalan Kebun Bunga here today.....

Malaysia, Thailand to extend ICQS Bukit Kayu Hitam, CIQ Sadao operation hours


PUTRAJAYA, Jan 20 (Bernama) -- Malaysia and Thailand have agreed to extend the operation hours at the Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Bukit Kayu Hitam and CIQ Sadao from 18 to 24 hours for a three-month trial period, beginning April 2019, the Foreign Ministry said today.
