State govt to build two more floodgates

PARIT BUNTAR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- The state government will build two manually-operated floodgates to tackle the flood problem caused by heavy rains and rising tides in Taman Kurau and Kuala Kurau town in Kuala Kurau, starting next year.

Chairman of the state Public Amenities, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Plantations Committee Abdul Yunus Jamhari said the project which cost less than RM10,000 each would allow water to flow out to  Sungai Kurau and prevent rising sea water levels to flow into the two areas.....

Micron's new facility in Penang to offer 1,000 high-value jobs
