"Crippled" Penang RTD gets help from Perak

GEORGE TOWN, April 21 (Bernama) -- The Penang Road Transport Deparment (RTD) which is practically “crippled” following the arrest of 46 of its enforcement officers for alleged corruption, is getting help from its Perak counterpart.

Penang RTD director Mohamat Johari Mat Nor told reporters here today that Perak RTD seconded six officers on Friday so as to ensure enforcement operations could continue as normal.....

MACC nabs another 22 enforcement officers from Penang RTD


GEORGE TOWN, April 20 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today arrested 22 more enforcement officers from the Road Transport Department (RTD) in Penang to assist in its investigation of corrupt activities involving lorry drivers who violated traffic laws by overloading their vehicles.
