Finding fault over Japanese soldier models

PARIT BUNTAR, Aug 20 -- A Perak state executive councillor has hit out at the circulation on social media of a picture of two Japanese soldier models put up in the compound of the Kerian District Council building as part of the decoration for the National Day celebration.

Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim, chairman of the Communications, Multimedia, NGOs and Cooperative Development Committee, said the models do not reflect the glorification of the Japanese soldiers but are merely to inform the people how independence was achieved by defeating the enemy.....
