Penang police to go all out against illegal gambling

GEORGE TOWN, June 14 (Bernama) -- Penang police will go all out to wipe out all forms of illegal gambling in the state in line with Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador's call to get rid of the menace.

State Police Chief Datuk T Narenasagaran said the force is fully supportive of Abdul Hamid’s call and will continue to intensify ongoing operations to eradicate illegal gambling activities.....

KANGAR, June 14 (Bernama) -- The Immigration Department here today busted a syndicate selling fake and stolen Malaysian identity cards (MyKad) with the arrest of nine men in a raid in Bukit Keteri.

 
 

Penang Customs seizes smuggled cigarettes worth RM2.6 mln


BUTTERWORTH, June 14 (Bernama) -- The Penang branch of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department has seized more than three million sticks of white and ‘kretek’ (clove) cigarettes worth about RM2.6 million, including tax, in two separate raids carried out yesterday and Tuesday.
