MBPP rejects use of City Stadium for Zakir Naik talk

GEORGE TOWN, Feb 22 (Bernama) -- The Penang City Council (MBPP) today rejected an application by the Islamic Propagation Society International (IPSI) of Penang to book the City Stadium for a public talk by controversial preacher Dr Zakir Naik.

According to a statement from its Corporate Communications Division and Public Relations, the application could not be considered as the stadium had already been booked by the Penang Football Association (FAP) for its Premier League matches between February and July.....
