Packets of dates with unauthorised halal logo seized

BUKIT MERTAJAM, April 23 (Bernama) -- The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry’s enforcement division in Penang seized 27 tonnes of  packet dates, worth RM448,000, here today, for using unauthorised halal logo.

Its director, Mohd Ridzuan Abdul Ghapar, said the seizure was made at a godown of an importer of dates in Bandar Perda here at about 11 am following surveillance with the cooperation of the Penang Islamic Religious Affairs Department.....

Five reports lodged over investment scam involving losses up to RM780,000


ALOR SETAR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Police have received five reports on a fraudulent investment scheme that does not exist, organised by a Chinese herbs company involving losses amounting to RM780,000, since January.

 
 

Perak tightens conditions for forest plantations with RM200,000 payment
