Ayer Ganda: Perak asks SPAN to pay heed to green light from Health Ministry

IPOH, April 26 (Bernama) -- The National Water Services Commission (SPAN) should allow the Ayer Ganda water treatment plant in Gerik to resume operations now that the deputy health minister has said its water is safe for non-consumptive use, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said today.

He said the plant’s shutdown has burdened some 1,500 residents, especially with Ramadan just around the corner.....

Orang Asli community in Batang Padang to get treated water by August


IPOH, April 26  (Bernama) -- More than 1,000 people from six Orang Asli villages in  the Batang Padang district, about 65 kilometres from here, will get to enjoy treated water supply by August this year, said Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
