KPDNHEP Kelantan inspects misuse of halal logo

KOTA BHARU, Jan 31 (Bernama) -- The Kelantan branch of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) opened an investigation paper on a restaurant for using expired Islamic Development Department (Jakim) Halal logo and Halal Malaysia certification.

Its director Khalid Tik said the logo at the premises – a vegetarian restaurant in Kota Bharu – was expired since last year, and the owner admitted to her mistake during an inspection of the restaurant.....
