Elderly woman loses RM26,500 in land scam

KUANTAN, Nov 27  -- An elderly woman lost RM26,500 after being duped into buying a plot of land in Kampung Sepat here in July.

Pahang Commercial Crime Investigation Department chief Supt Mohd Wazir Mohd Yusof said the 78-year-old victim claimed that she had made several payments, the latest was early this month, to buy the land, valued at RM50,000.....
