RapidKL extends service on Ambang 2020

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30  -- In conjunction with the New Year Eve 2020 (Ambang 2020) celebration tomorrow, the operations of the Rapid KL rail transit and bus networks will be extended to meet the need of the public attending the event. 

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana), in a statement today, said the move involved 13 Light Rail Transit (LRT), Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Kuala Lumpur (KL) Monorail, BRT (Rapid Transit Bus) stations and 14 Rapid KL routes and MRT feeder bus routes.

Those stations whose services would be extended until 1.30 am were LRT Kelana Jaya route involving the USJ 7, Pasar Seni, Masjid Jamek, KLCC and Ampang Park stations, while the Ampang/Sri Petaling route involved the Bandaraya and Masjid Jamek stations.....

Transit homes for Kampung Kovil Hilir fire victims


KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 -- The 13 families who were left homeless in a fire incident at Kampung Kovil Hilir, Jalan Ipoh here on Dec 20 have been offered transit homes by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

 
 

Perhilitan hunts down wild boars roaming in Nilai residential areas


SEREMBAN, Dec 30 – The Negeri Sembilan Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) is conducting an operation to hunt down wild boars that are reported to be roaming around Taman Desa Jati, Acacia Park, Nilai near here.

 
 

FAMA gives donation to widow of ‘Ops Daulat’ hero


SEREMBAN, Dec 30 -- The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) today contributed RM6,135 to Nurunnisa Abu Bakar, the widow of Sergeant Major Sabaruddin Daud, who was killed during the ‘Ops Daulat’ offensive against Sulu terrorists in Lahad Datu, Sabah, in March 2013.

Govt hospitals in Selangor awarded HACCP, GMP certifications


SHAH ALAM, Dec 26 -- Seven government hospital kitchens in Selangor have successfully obtained the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification while 11 more hospital kitchens were awarded the Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP) certification since 2006, said state Health director, Datuk Dr Khalid Ibrahim.

SEREMBAN,  Dec 26  --  Forty-five factories around Nilai  which produce waste solvents and oils that are pollutants, have been inspected by the state Department of Environment (DOE), to date.

 
 

A stream in Mantin believed to be contaminated with chemical substance


SEREMBAN, Dec 25 -- An unpleasant smell (odour pollution) that suddenly hit the residents in the area around Batu 4, Mantin early this morning was due to chemical substance, as an oil spill was discovered in the stream by the Seremban Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).

 
 

DOE inspects 37 factories over closure of Semenyih water treatment plant


PUTRAJAYA, Dec 24 -- A total of 37 factories in Selangor were inspected in a integrated  odour operation to investigate the cause of closure of the Semenyih water treatment plant and 28 premises were found to be in compliance with Environmental Quality Act 1974, said the Department of Environment (DOE).
