Pulau Ketam Fish Breeders Lament Over High Tol Charges

PORT KLANG, March 11 (Bernama) -- Cage fish breeders in Pulau Ketam here have described the Selangor government's aloof unwillingness to negotiate the high rates for the Temporary Occupancy Licence (TOL) imposed on them as an attempt to jeopardise their income and livelihood.

Deputy Chairman of the Marine Fish Farmers Association of Malaysia (MFFAM) Mohamed Razali Mohamed who represented 45 affected fish breeders said the charge of 40 sen per square metre of cage was a burden for them as fish production had dropped over the years.....
