Top PKR leadership urged to focus on people's problems

PETALING JAYA, July 19 (Bernama) -- The newly-formed PKR Council of State Leadership Chairmen today urged the top leadership of the party to focus on the people’s problems and to enable leaders at the state level to be a more effective voice for the people.

Its coordinator Datuk Johari Abdul said with the honeymoon period having ended, the pledges in the election manifesto needed to be fulfilled but there was no room for state-level leadership to voice the people’s problems.....

Lorry driver fined RM40,000, jailed 5 years for reckless driving


PORT DICKSON, July 19  (Bernama) -- A lorry driver was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment and fined RM40,000 by the Magistrate’s Court here today for four counts after he was found guilty for reckless driving which resulted in an accident that killed four Singaporeans in a family on Jan 3 last year.
