Kuala Pilah Merdeka Charity Carnival to be held on Aug 23-25

KUALA PILAH, July 21 (Bernama) -- The Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) of State Sports School Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Za'ba (SSS SMK Za'ba) here with the collaboration of the Kuala Pilah Parliamentary Office will organise the Kuala Pilah Merdeka Charity Carnival 2019 for three days starting Aug 23.

Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia Eddin Syazlee Shith said the inaugural carnival was in conjunction with the 62nd National Month celebration this year.

"The concept of this carnival is to celebrate the Merdeka Month with all residents of Kuala Pilah through sports and tourism activities,” he told a media conference today.

Also present at the media conference were SSS SMK Za'ba Principal Mohd Faizal Mohd Amin, the school's PTA President Norazman Amat and Bernama Chairman Datuk Seri Azman Ujang.

Eddin Syazlee who is also Kuala Pilah member of parliament said interesting activities slated for the carnival included an educational discourse with Ustaz Norazman Amat, Ustazah Asni Mansor and Ustaz Syamsul Debat; Za'ba Merdeka Run and Fun Ride and Food Truck and Car Boot Sale.

He said the proceeds of the carnival would be channelled to SSS SMK Za'ba PTA Fund, kidney patients via Yayasan Kebajikan Negara Kuala Pilah and students of Integrated Special Education Programme in Kuala Pilah.
