Kota Kinabalu police detain 58 individuals relating to drugs

KOTA KINABALU, Feb 17 (Bernama) -- Kota Kinabalu police detained 58 individuals for various offences pertaining to drugs in operations around Likas and Menggatal within a period of one week beginning Feb 9.

In a statement here today, Kota Kinabalu OCPD ACP Habibi Majinji said the suspects aged between 14 and 49 years also included 13 foreign nationals.

"Upon checking, it was found that 20 individuals possessed drugs and 38 others were found to be positive of drugs after urine tests,” he said.

He added that police also seized various types of drugs worth about RM4,400.

He said the police would continue to carry out operations to check drug trafficking activities and abuse in the city.
