Last Update: 29/01/2019

JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- The Bangsa Johor Bahagia programme, a pioneer project and the initiative of the Johor Royal Family, will be launched in the state soon.

The community programme is the brainchild of the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah.

In a posting on The Royal Johor’s Facebook account today, Raja Zarith Sofiah said Bangsa Johor Bahagia is a community programme aimed at improving the quality of life of the poor in the state.

She said it was the wish of Sultan Ibrahim and the Johor Royal family to always help the people, especially those living in low-cost flats.

“It is not just a pioneer project, but it is the first project of its kind in the country which is the brainchild of a Royal Family,” she said in a statement at the Royal Press Office at Istana Bukit Serene, here yesterday, which was uploaded on Facebook today.
