Johor Jaya CNY Carnival offers 70 stalls for visitors

JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 20 (Bernama) – The Johor government through Tourism Johor is organising Johor Jaya Carnival in conjunction with the Chinese New Year (CNY) in Jalan Dedap 14, Taman Johor Jaya here from tomorrow to February 3.

State Women Development and Tourism Committee chairman, Liow Cai Tung said the carnival which was earlier known as Johor Jaya Bazaar was providing almost 70 stalls offering food, attire, decorations apart from cultural performances.

Liow said the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar would be launching the carnival at 7.30pm this Friday.

“The carnival which is an annual event in the state tourism calendar, has been well-received by the people and can promote Johor as the best tourism destination in the southern part of the country.

“The carnival is the largest in Johor and we are targeting to make it as one of the main attractions in the state while contributing to the economy of the local community,” she told reporters here today.
