MUAR, Jan 18 (Bernama) -- The police are tracking down a suspect believed to be involved in bullying a disabled man in an incident that went viral on Facebook today.

Muar district deputy police chief Supt Idris Rajab said the 30-year-old suspect had been identified and the police were tracking him down now.

He said the police were also tracking down the victim, also aged 30, and found that both the victim and the suspect were local residents.

“Thus far, the report found that the victim is suffering from mental illness and believed to have been bullied by the suspect.

“The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for intentionally causing injury to the victim,” he said when contacted here today.

Earlier, in several video clips that went viral, the shirtless victim was seen to be bullied by a group of men in an area believed to be a construction site.

The victim who looked scared was also seen being hit by a long object and forced to sing the Negaraku while kneeling.
