JDT launch jerseys for 2019 M-League season

JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) president Tunku Puteri Johor Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim launched the team’s new jerseys for the 2019 Malaysia League (M-League) season at Dataran Bandaraya here tonight.

Costing RM185 each, the jerseys come in two special designs – red and blue for home matches and purple for away matches.

The new jerseys will be used by JDT in the Super League, JDT II (Premier League), JDT III (President’s Cup) and JDT IV (Youth Cup).

The launching was also televised live on giant screens in all districts in the state.

Nike Sports Marketing manager (Malaysia and Thailand), Ernest Rodrigues said the home jersey has a tiger logo symbolising the energy and pride of the state of Johor and were designed with full graphics containing colours of the state flag.

The away jersey is inspired by the purple-coloured Ferrari, owned by the Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, which is synonymous with speed, strength and elegance.

Also present at the launching were state Youth, Sports and Culture Committee chairman Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar, State Secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani and Johor Football Association (JFA) president Datuk Ismail Karim.
