GEORGE TOWN, Nov 9 (Bernama) -- The Penang state government today announced a half-month bonus or a minimum of RM1,000 for members of the Penang civil service.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow when tabling the 2019 Penang State Budget said the bonus payment to the 3,915 state civil servants would be made in December.

"In appreciation (for their services), the state government had approved a year-end bonus that is equivalent to half-a-month salary or a minimum of RM1,000 to all state civil servants,”he said here today.
