PKR elections: Rafizi leads Azmin in Terengganu

KUALA TERENGGANU, Oct 5 (Bernama) -- Mohd Rafizi Ramli leads Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali the contest for the PKR deputy president’s post in Terengganu following the results from eight branches here today.

Mohd Rafizi earned 1,506 votes while Mohamed Azmin got 1,269, according to the PKR 2018 Election website, www.pemilihankeadilan2018.com.

Mohamed Azmin, who is also the Economic Affairs Minister, had previously won the contests in Penang and Johor.

Polling stations were opened in eight branches in the state, namely Besut, Setiu, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Dungun, Marang dan Kemaman.

PKR Central Electoral Committee chairman Datuk Rashid Din said it would only finalise the results after a verification process was completed.
