Filipino Nabbed For Drug Trafficking

LABUAN, March 8 (Bernama) -- A man believed to have been involved in the supply of a 'sizeable' quantity of synthetic drug 'syabu' to drug traffickers here was arrested on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old jobless man, a Filipino, from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) commune of Kg Kiamsam here, was nabbed at the Halal Hub Industrial Zone at about 6.40pm with 51.18 grammes of the drug.

Labuan police chief Supt. Muhamad Farid Ahmad told a press conference here today that the suspect had been remanded for seven days beginning today (Thursday) for further investigation.
