Mohamad Hopes For More Kemas Childcare Centres In Negeri Sembilan

Last Update: 07/03/2018

REMBAU, March 6 (Bernama) -- Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan hopes that more Community Development Department (Kemas) childcare centres will be established in the state.

He said many parents were keen to send their children to the Kemas childcare centres for early childhood education because of the low fees and their proximity to their homes.

"The monthly fees is only RM25 which is for preparation of the children\'s meals and children who study here perform better than those in other pre-schools," he said in his speech at the simultaneous opening of Rantau constituency Kemas annual general meeting and a parenting workshop  here, today.

To date there are 464 Kemas childcare centres and 10,310 students statewide.

Meanwhile, Mohamad advised parents to pay special attention to their children, especially from the age of four to 15 years.

"Nowadays there are various gadgets and media which expose our children to a borderless world and we have to make sure that our children are not influenced by the incorrect information on social sites," he said.
