Last Update: 05/03/2018

KUALA TERENGGANU, March 5 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu state government will send about 1,000 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) school-leavers for its free foundation studies programme held at Kolej Universiti TATI (Tatiuc) in April and June this year.

Chairman of the Tatiuc Board of Directors Ghazali Taib said this was the government's effort to provide opportunities to SPM school leavers interested to undergo technical studies and skills programme free-of-charge.

"This is the first time the offer is made, initially we offered it to Terengganu-born students, but the state government subsequently agreed to extend the offer to all Malaysian citizens on condition they pursue their degrees at Tatiuc," he said.

He added that Tatiuc had conducted its foundation studies since 2004 to enable students to continue on to degree courses in local and overseas tertiary institutions.

SPM school-leavers interested in the programme can apply for the 2018/2019 intake at or contact telephone number 098601130 for further information.
