PBNS President Praises Azraai Khor Despite Defeat

Last Update: 05/03/2018

SEREMBAN, March 5 (Bernama) -- Negeri Sembilan Football Association (PBNS) is satisfied with new chief coach Azraai Khor Abdullah in the approach to deploy players even though the team was edged 0-1 by Kedah in the FA Cup second round on March 2.

Its president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said despite taking the post for only two days, the chief coach was seen able to organise the squad to put up a strong fight much to the surprise of their opponents.

"It shows when I changed the chief coach. It is a good start, I hope Azraai will continue to guide the Negeri Sembilan squad well," he told reporters after officiating Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Warisan Puteri and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Warisan Puteri here today.

Mohamad said Azraai was no stranger to Negeri Sembilan as he had helmed the team in 2011.

"We will never forget Azraai for taking Negeri Sembilan to lift the FA Cup after 48 years.

"In fact all local players were his former charges and he is familiar with each of them and he could whipped up the right recipe to propel the team further," he said.
