CIMB Investment Bank Launches Branch In Melaka

MELAKA, April 7 (Bernama) -- CIMB Investment Bank, a leading investment bank in the region, officially launched its fourth branch at Taman Melaka Raya, here today offering investment banking services.

Deputy Chief Executive, Corporate and Investment Banking, CIMB Group, Datuk Charon Wardini Mokhzani said the branch will offer stock broking services to the retail and corporate community in Melaka and the southern region.

"Customers will now have easy access to experienced experts in capital and financial markets.

Apart from investment banking services, the branch will also offer a comprehensive list of products in corporate banking as well as wealth management and private banking services, he told reporters after the opening of the branch here today.

The new branch is CIMB's fourth investment bank branch in the country after three others in Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching respectively.

The one-stop investment centre is expected to serve the financial needs of customers in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

In addition, the branch will offer clients, online cross border sharetrading in Singapore, Hong Kong, and three markets in United States including the New York Stock Exchange, American Exchange and NASDAQ.

The branch, which has five remisiers to cater to customers, will also offer research reports and online share trading via i*trade@CIMB, the bank's online share trading portal.
